Lemosho route is the unique for the climbers attempting a more private hiking adventure. Still the tracks join with the more popular Machame route on the third evening; the first three days on the mountain are approximately quiet with any other trekking groups on the tracks.

On the first day, depart at 9 am from the location of your hotel either Arusha or Moshi and proceed to Londorossi Gate, and you will arrive around 11 am. Consume about an hour at the gate while Reality Wild Adventure Chief Guide registers and arrange your climb and all porters.
Subsequent all necessary enrolling at the gate, proceed to the trailhead and enjoy a picnic lunch before starting the hike to Forest Camp. Pass into the rain forests of Kilimanjaro seeing trees and birds onward the trail. Arrive at the campsite in the evening and rest for the remainder of the day. While the trail straightens out, you will have your first views of Kibo from across the plateau which is amazing. Have your lunch and after lunch ascends through the lush rolling hills and crosses several streams, reach the Shira Ridge before descending gently down to Shira 1 camp where you will relax for the rest of the day. The meal plan is Breakfast, Picnic Lunch & Dinner.
DAY 3: SHIRA I (3,480M) TO SHIRA II CAMP (3,860M) DISTANCE: 14 KM ELEVATION (FT): 11,500FT TO 13,800 FT AND HIKING TIME: 5-7 HOURS
This is an adventure day that allows you to take day hikes that traverse the Shira Plateau. It is a moderate trek east near Kibo’s glaciers peak, beyond the plateau which begins to Shira 2 camp on moorland fields by a stream. Then we continue to Moir Hut, a little-used site on the base of Lent Hills. Shira is one of the largest plateaus on earth if you look to the west at sunset, and you may pass a glimpse of the counterpart eruptions from the craters of Ol Donyo Lengai “The Mountain of God” an existing volcano 100 kilometers distant. The meal plan is Breakfast, Picnic Lunch & Dinner.
DAY 4: SHIRA II CAMP (3,860M) TO BARRANCO CAMP (3,950M) DISTANCE: 7 KM ELEVATION (FT): 13,800FT TO 13,000FT AND HIKING TIME: 4-6 HOURS
After breakfast at the Camp, we proceed from the Shira Plateau to the east up an elevation, passing the junction towards the peak of Kibo. This day is essential for acclimatization. As we proceed, the direction will change to the South East towards the Lava Tower called the “Shark’s Tooth.” Continue to east on the Shira Plateau for two hours before entering the junction for Shira and Lemosho Routes at an altitude of 16,000ft. Proceed on within the dry landscape for another thirty minutes before pausing some few minutes for lunch. After Lunch, we continue down to the Barranco Hut at an altitude of 13,000ft. Barranco Camp is deemed to be the greatest and spectacular campsite on the route. From the campsite, experience beautiful views of Mount Meru, Heim Glacier, Kibo’s southern face and the impressive Barranco Wall. Here we rest, enjoy dinner, and overnight. The meal plan is Breakfast, Picnic Lunch & Dinner.
DAY 5: BARRANCO CAMP (3,950M) TO KARANGA VALLEY (4,200M) DISTANCE: 6KM ELEVATION (FT): 13,000FT TO 13,100FT AND HIKING TIME: 4-5 HOURS
After breakfast, leave Barranco Camp and proceed on a sheer elevation crossing the scramble up the Barranco Wall, to the Karanga Valley campsite. This is the tricky part of the day and in some places, you may have to use your hands to stretch your body up. Subsequent arriving the top, hike into moderately level terrain before making a short but abrupt descent into the green Karanga River Valley. This is also a very short day intended for acclimatization. The meal plan is Breakfast, Picnic Lunch & Dinner.
DAY 6: KARANGA VALLEY (4,200M) TO BARAFU CAMP (4,600M) DISTANCE: 5 KM ELEVATION (FT): 13,100FT TO 15,300FT AND HIKING TIME: 4-5 HOURS

We proceed up to the Barafu Hut; at this point, you have made the South Circuit, that offers views of the summit from many different points. Here we set up the camp and rest, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the summit day. After finishing your meal, have a rest and try to sleep early as you will awake before midnight for your summit ascent. The meal plan is Breakfast, Picnic Lunch & Dinner.
DAY 7: BARAFU CAMP (4,600M) TO SUMMIT (5,895M) TO MWEKA HUT (3,100M). DISTANCE: 5 KM ASCENT AND 12 KM DESCENT, ELEVATION (FT): 15,300FT TO 19,345FT AND DOWN TO 10,000FT. HIKING TIME: 7-8 HOURS ASCENT AND 4-6 HOURS DESCENT.
Leave Barafu Camp early in the morning around 2 am to start your hike to the top of Kibo Crater. This is a very steep ascent at a high altitude, so I will say this is more intellectually and challenging portion of the trek. Although you can probably lose your appetite during this day and start to feel new consequences of altitude sickness, it’s highly recommended to take energizer snacks to keep your energy. Reach at Stella Point (18,600 ft) before or at sunrise, you will stop for a brief rest and will be rewarded with the most beautiful sunrise you are ever likely to see and weather permitting at Stella. Proceed on to Uhuru Peak, the hike here is slow and will take roughly 1 hour from Stella Point. Reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa point, spends a few minutes for pictures. After reaching the summit, we now make our descent continuing through down to the Mweka Hut camp site, stopping at Barafu for brunch. Arrive Mweka Hut Camp at approximately 6 pm and here you will enjoy your last dinner and accommodation on the mountain. The meal plan is Breakfast, Picnic Lunch & Dinner.
DAY 8: MWEKA CAMP (3,100M) TO MWEKA GATE (1,500M) TO MOSHI/ARUSHA OR JRO. DISTANCE: 10 KM, ELEVATION (FT): 10,000FT TO 5,400FT AND HIKING TIME: 3-4 HOURS
After breakfast, you will finish the trek with a descent to Mweka Gate. Your last trek on Kilimanjaro is an amazing, crossing into Kilimanjaro’s cloud forest. At moderate elevations, it can be wet and muddy, gaiters and trekking poles will help. When you arrived at the Mweka Gate, you will receive your summit certificates. Reality Wild Adventures vehicles will be waiting at Mweka Gate to take you back to your hotel in Moshi/Arusha or may be JRO if you are going back home the same day. You will be able to buy some t-shirts, souvenirs, and sodas at the gate. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the gate or drive to the restaurant in Moshi for hot lunch. The meal plan is Breakfast & Picnic Lunch.
