mount meru trekking

Mount Meru is the fifth highest mountain in Africa, and it’s the second highest mountain in Tanzania at 4,566 meters (14,990 feet) that overlooks the Arusha Park’s horizon. Its peaks and eastern foot slope protected within the Arusha National park, Mount Meru offers unparalleled views of its famous neighbor Mountain Kilimanjaro, while also forming a rewarding hiking destination in its own right.

Mount Meru requirements are more technical and greater than on the Kilimanjaro Trekking Routes. On the four days trekking tour, you are also then expected to see giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, white colobus monkey, sake’s monkey, vervet monkey, elusive forest birds such as Hartlaub’s terrace, but an Arusha National Park Ranger will accompany you for your safety.
